A Fresh Start
As I go through the process of guiding people through the transformative process, whether it has to do with anger, stress, or just getting back on track with their lives, I am continuously amazed at how pliable human nature can be. It also continues to surprise me how resistant we can be to change. Over the course of 2008 and even now, I have experienced radical, lasting change in my life - some of it felt pretty negative at the time, but I can say that every process has yielded positive results. Of course, you know that my personal mission is to leverage people and organizations into open communication so they can live free of conflict, tension, anger, and fear. My corporate mission through Leverage U is to create radical, lasting, positive change.
How then did I end up writing this new blog? Living what I believe - I suppose that is the short answer. I understand that some of the topics I present are not necessarily easy for people to look at - anger, stress, workplace negativity, conflict, dealing with difficult people: the truth is, we don't like to admit that we have problems in these areas. But the fact of the matter is simply this: unless you live in a cave and have no human interaction whatsoever, you will face these challenges from time to time. But hey, a challenge is just something that helps to build character - it makes you stronger - helps you to face the next big thing (that is - IF you overcome the previous challenge). So - I like to bring these challenges out in the open, and discuss them with my clients and audiences in a manner that helps them to feel comfortable with the topics, and hopeful that they can create the lasting positive change they desire.
As an author and a speaker, I have also gone through some personal transformation as I have come to realize that I am my own product - hence this new website with all these bells and whistles attached. I am getting used to the idea of having a dot com in my name - still a little weird, but such is the nature of transforming change. So in this blog, I will likely produce a mish mash of ideas. I already have two other blog sites running - http://www.angersolution.blogspot.com, and http://www.julie-christiansen.blogspot.com. I should also direct you to my podcast site: http://www.juliechristiansen.mypodcast.com, where you can hear me comment on anger in the news, as well as gain access to some of my teleclass recordings.
I have also launched a new company, Leverage U (Inc.), which will be carrying forward the work of my existing company, BODA reLEAF consulting for the years to come. Well - it most certainly is the truth that if there's one thing you can count on - it is that things are going to change.
